- Yes, that would match any file not named 'a', 'b', or 'c'; however,
- what I really had in mind was a little different. As several people have
- kindly pointed out, AmigaDOS already does what I want with [~a-c]. The
- difference is I can embed that in the middle of a larger pattern - for
- example, [~a-m]#?.c would match all .c files which do not start with the
- letters a through m (inclusive.) I don't know why I never picked up on
- that before - it sure makes a heck of a lot of sense. I guess it wasn't
- documented explicitly in the manual, and I assumed that the complement
- operator would be different than the negation operator. Oh well, live and
- learn...
